We are celebrating our second annual Earth Day event for children and families. The event will be held on April 22, 2010 from 4 - 7pm at the Barnett Center, 1524 10th Avenue.

Last year's event was a great success with over 300 in attendance (see photos from 2009). We expect even more attendees this year.

  • Marshall University College of Science is sponsoring the COSI "Science Spot" bus to come out with 5 awesome hands on science kiosks for kids to experience.
    .
  • The Pottery Place will brign out ceramic tiles for children to make special art pieces which will decorate the Barnett Center for years to come.
    .
  • The Junior League's  Kids in the Kitchen program will be teaching the kids to make healthy vegetarian food and how to keep fit.
    .

We Need More Participants - Become a PATRON:

We would like to invite as many groups and organizations as possible to bring awareness and education to the children and families of Huntington. If you would like to be a PATRON and have a table at the event, let us know. Just plan to bring information about your organization and to have a hands on activity or educational demonstration to show kids a way in which they can keep themselves, their community and the earth healthy.  Please download either of the following Patron forms (Microsoft Word)(Adobe PDF) or CLICK HERE to find out more.
.

We Need SUPPLY Donations:
